Friendly place with great outdoor area to hang!

What a great place to eat and relax. We were in town for our Soccer game and checked this place out. Food, drinks and service was great. We will definitely be back. I would recommend a particular dish but everything was great.

Left Churchill Downs looking for a great American cheese burger. Look no further! I had a bourbon bacon jam burger with home made chips. They were amazing. Having jelly isn't a normal topping on a burger, but it was well done at this fine establishment. Compliments to the chef. 5/5 would go again!

Hopefully not something they have to deal with often, but the staff were so amazing and supportive when I had to quickly run into the business with my dog who had been attacked by another dog nearby.

Food was by far some of the best bar food in the area for the price. Service was great, could have more on staff to handle the labor. Our server was wonderful and tool great care of us with suggestions.

If you want to see a Louisville game on a big screen, check this place out. Spread across six 55" TV's, making a slightly stretched 150 image, there's no way you're missing any action! Decent bar food, friendly service and a pool table in the back. Fun to be had for sure.

Food is hit or miss. Dont get the pizza, especially if youre from the northeast. The pizza here is terrible. The burger I got the second night there was very good. Definitely a cool bar to go and hangout at. Big sports vibe!

Had dinner at The Granville last night with my Son's. I use to eat lunch there on occasion, but hadn't eaten at The Granville in 10 years. I had the Bacon Cheddar burger and it was as good as it ever was. My Son's had burgers and fries as well, and they said it was the best burger they had ever eaten. The Granville never disappoints, from the great service to the awesome food.

THE BEST burger that I have had in a very long time! I am just visiting the area and ordered delivery thru Grub Hub. Granville Pub was quick to make my order. My Bacon Cheeseburger was so good that I didn't use any of the pub sauce. There is an old saying that your meal shouldn't need any condiments if it is seasoned and prepared properly. No condiments needed for sure! I didn't realize that they forgot my cheese until I was almost done. 5 star burger even without the cheese! I will definitely visit the pub next time I am in town.

UofL establishment. Beer by the pitcher, huge TVs and small bathrooms. If you're surprised it gets rowdy at night you should avoid anything near campus, otherwise it's a great place to catch the game and a decent burger.

We decided to get this at work about 6 months ago and OMG, we're all so glad we did. This place has the MOST AMAZING FOOD, best delicious grilled burgers you can get in town!! All of their food is so yummy, the chicken grilled wraps are by far the best in town too, the pepperjack cheese balls & nachos are incredible!! We eat here at least 1-2xs per week, every week. I HIGHLY RECCOMENED, you won't be disappointed.

A fun busy little bar. Trivia every Tuesday is a good time and my weekly socialization. They have a quality selection of beer and an interesting place. Food is good and I try and get something new every time. Never had any trouble with staff or patrons.

We've lived in Louisville for 17 years, and this was our first visit to the Granville. Shame on us! We had a large group come in, and they were very accommodating. It was a Wednesday, so the special was the Granville Burger for only $7. My wife and I ordered something else, but everyone else at the table who ordered it LOVED it. We ordered the chicken wings with mild buffalo sauce, and a grilled chicken salad. Not only was the food very good, for a bar it had the freshest salad I've ever had! Also, the drinks were reasonably priced...my vodka and soda was only $3! Finally, the service was awesome...or server Raven was very attentive. Overall, a great experience!

A wonderful little town pub, nice people. Came in was immediately greeted, and sat at a booth. I will say the booth was coming apart as when i sat down the seat on the end of the booth sprang up, but I'll take that as its been sat in a lot for good food. Got my drink immediately, but it was the wrong one, however it was fixed immediately (unsweet tea is poison to a southerner not expecting it lol) the food was great the burger reminded me of an old small hole in the wall back home, juicy and tasty, i did want fries but apparently they just ran out after i put my order in so i got tots, not terrible replacement but not what i was in the mood for. Overall wonderful place and i do hope to go back in the future when back in state. Definitely give them a try

Be aware that it becomes a college bar at night. We went for a late lunch and hung out before the big crowd came. Quite during the day and early evening. Great specials, amazing courtyard in the back that is dog friendly, and wonderful service. Met some cool people from Spain and Portland there. Great recommendations from staff about cool things going on in Louisville. Food was not bad at all but what you would expect from a bar. The wings were great and a good price point. We got a pitcher of regional pilsner for cheap cheap cheap for their daily special. Might become regulars.

Trying Different Restaurants And Bars In My Neighborhood, I'm Always Anxious Trying New Places...This Place Is Nice with a Chill laid Back Vibe With Friendly People All Over which was a nice Ice Breaker for Me. I ordered The Bourbon Bacon Burger, Loaded Fries And Fried Raspberry Cheesecake. Customer Service Was On Point!! As A Chef Myself Everything Was Cooked The Way I ordered And Definitely Tasty I was in and out I'll be back to Try More On the Menu and have a drink or two.

Wasn't expecting much and I was pleasantly surprised. At first blush seemed like a neighborhood bar that was best for bud or natural light and maybe nachos with can cheese. Ends up having a great beer selection with staff that was attentive and the food was outstanding. The blue cheese burger I had was cooked correctly and dressed out quite well. The tables and area were clean and kept clean during my visit. Definitely worth the stop for a drink AND a meal.

Every pub has a self-proclaimed, attention-seeking character and this one was no exception. The place is quaint and historic with great food and exceptional service. Too bad "Ryan" had to talk continuously and three times louder than necessary. He had a dog with him which made it even stranger. But, the food outweighed the annoyance factor. GREAT BBQ chicken pizza and onion rings! Will definitely return!

Had brunch here for the first time! It was delicious. I got the breakfast sandwich & it had a fantastic kick that added to the flavor. The bacon and eggs were cooked to perfection. Breakfast tots were immaculate and the latte was just as good as a coffeehouse. Staff is super friendly as well! 12/10 experience. Definitely coming back

You know, we read a bunch of the reviews before coming and the people that scored this place poorly are out of place. We had such a great lunch/early dinner. The Tijuana burger was excellent-I asked for my burger to be medium and it was precisely that. And we ordered the pretzels and cheese as an appetizer and it literally melted in our mouths. It was so good. And the other person in our party had the club and gave it a great nod as well. Head to the Granvillerealy, really good. (Oh, and I really liked the music choices played). It would be a great atmosphere to come here for a U of L gameneed to remember that for next game.

My husband and I were visiting from out of town and came across this bar while looking for a dive bar. It did not disappoint. The beer was COLD, the food was excellent (nachos and Tijuana burger) and the service was the best part! Our server went over and beyond telling us lots of extras about the bar and the city! Be sure to enjoy a cold drink at Granville especially out back in the beer garden.

My friends and I were very hungry after walking around the St James art fair, and on the way to our car we saw this place and thought we would give it a shot. It was around 2pm on a Friday so the place wasn't very busy, but it had great energy among the staff and our server was very nice. They had daily drink specials, so we got a few of the $3 shots which were nice. But the best part was definitely the food: my wife got the buffalo chicken pizza, which was the best pizza we have ever eaten. It looked to have a lot of buffalo sauce on it, but it was the perfect level of sweet and spicy, and it all tasted so good and fresh. I got some form of turkey jam sandwich that came with tater tots and that was all delicious too. We had a great time and cannot wait to come back and try more of their menu!

I am here for lunch on Thursday because I wanted some place local. Great atmosphere and because the owner suggested, I had the chicken wrap with tots. It was so good, I would return for the wrap. I hear its hopping at weekend nights and Im glad I got to experience this local place. Super clean and great food!

Went for first time it was karaoke night it was a blast met some really cool people the staff and patrons make you feel so welcomed. My new favorite hang out.

I thought we would give this a try for Louisville burger week. I called ahead since I didn't see that I could order take out and I had 2 grandkids under 21 with me. Very nice on the phone and said bring them on in, as long as it's before 8pm. Pictures are what each of us ordered. The service was very fast and friendly! It was a bit more crowded than I preferred, but it was expected given the day/time. The food was good, both grandkids liked what they got, big plus! My oldest granddaughter and myself got "the Charlie" burger and both were cooked exactly as ordered. Still it was a bit disappointing as I kind of expected an awesome burger and it wasn't that. Neither of us could tell if there was any of the "homemade steak sauce" on it or not. It wasn't bad at all, just not the super good burger I was expecting or craving.

Seriously underrated place for burgers. Don't just go there for burger week!!!

Probably the closest sports bar to Germantown and always willing to change a TV if what you're looking for isn't on. Great burgers and cold beer. Will definitely be visiting again the next time I want to watch a game.

I ordered delivery on Uber Eats late at night. Something glitched in the system with person who was "picking up" my food and then it was reassigned to someone else. Ryan called me to let me know the food was actually picked up but he didn't know what happened and that he would contact Uber Eats and call me back. Within 10 minutes he was calling to say they were remaking it for a new driver to come get and apologized for the inconvenience. He was so professional and I sincerely appreciated him making sure his customer was happy.

Stayed at an air-b-n-b just across the street this last week... Grandville Inn was a quaint little bar for beers or for lunch or dinner... or just a snack. Great selection of beers and tasty foods... lots of large screens for the sports minded folks... and great service. I had the wings once... and one of their famous burgers... definitely worth your consideration.

Great time last evening at The Granville!! Took my wife and my son who is a sophomore at the 'Ville. I'm an alum and had not been to The Granville since I graduated in 1992. The food is still awesome!! Best fried pickles I've ever had in my life and the burgers are outstanding too. Some really good beers on draft too. Super fun and lively crowd of college kids who were having a blast so it was great time to introduce my son to The Granville. You gotta check out The Granville, it's a Louisville institution and you will NOT be disappointed.

THE spot to day drink near U of L

Food is great and very reasonably priced. Burgers, Grilled Tuna, Rajun Cajun, or the pizza would all make this a rotation destination by themselves, but you have them all under one roof. Then of course they also have the perfect side: cheese fries.

Fantastic food and smiling service as always. New management is really stepping up the beer and menu options. Even as carryout is the only option, it has not lowered the quality at all. Check them out there next time you're in old Louisville.

Granville has always been a favorite for lunch while Im at work. But doing corvid19 I notice it was on door dash and would delivery to my home which is miles a way from the location. So me and my husband took a chance on our favorite burgers. Keep in mine its a Saturday at 10pm. DoorDash delivered an order that was not our order. So as you know you cant talk to no one on door dash only text. So I called Granville and they knew the dasher had gotten the wrong order and apologized. But than the boss offered to bring us our food at no charge.He wouldnt even take a tip when he got here .Thanks Granville your outstanding act of kindness was appreciated being we in unseen times. They have the best burgers in town

The food is here is ALWAYS fantastic! Service is usually perfect. I would give 5 But they have had the same girl answering the phone the last few times I have placed my order and it seems that she only half listens. The last 3 times, I have only gotten part of my order, so I have to sit and wait for the other part of the order while my burgers get cold. They truly are 5 Quality food. The one waitress is just less than a 1

The food was hot and fresh. The waitress was very polite. I will be back.

It's nice and sanitized. The bartender has a good pour hand and the vibe is really laid back.

Great food

This is my favorite bar in Louisville. The place is casual and there are deals every day of the week on drinks. I thought the drinks were fairly priced. The manager was very friendly and even came over to tell us about weekly specials and good drinks.

Great food and atmosphere

This place is such a great local pub with good drink prices and the food is outstanding. Just had the cod sandwich on rye with fries and everything was just perfect. It came out very hot, And very fast. Not that I was in a hurry. They had malt vinegar and everything I wanted. Today was my first time dining in, but I had gotten pizza once as carryout. It was pretty good although Im pretty sure it was frozen crust. Perfectly okay for pub fare in my opinion; it isnt a pizza place after all. Still good though. Nicole was the bartender when I dined in; she was very friendly and very sweet. And, she was knowledgeable about everything there.

The Granville is very clean and spacious, and it is taking the pandemic seriously. I felt perfectly safe here. I feel like its location, tucked away in a residential neighborhood on S. 3rd street in Old Louisville, makes it easy to pass up. Its pretty close to U of L campus but not super-close. So, I think it gets missed a lot of times.

If you want to support local businesses and pub/restaurant industry workers in Louisville during these trying times, I would highly recommend paying a visit to The Granville Pub for great food, cheap cold drinks, chill atmosphere, and friendly staff.

Were from out of town and just watched NFL Dolphins vs Cardinals. Great experience. Waitress from Cinci was wonderful. Good beer and excellent burgers. Nothing to complain about. Cozy small town experience. Loved it. Highly recommended.

One of our favorite neighborhood joints, they have a newly renovated (heated) patio and excellent food. Due to covid weve been getting takeout and have been quite pleased. Bonus points for the fries!

Serving great food and beer 4pm to 11pm. Would of got a 5star but the guy bartender that was there my last visit before this one, it seemed to me and a few other locals he thought he was better then anyone or like he was above certain individuals and even tried to talk customers out of having a mix drink and to settle for beer so he didn't have to make drinks. I tell you bartender Christina gets the job done. Makes sure your taken care of, makes the vibe like your at home. She gets 5 stars and the food is better then any pup in a 20-30 mile radius. Did I mention the 8 big screen TV's

This is my first time eating from the Granville Pub and I got the BLT french fries and the pretzel with beer cheese and I highly recommend it is so good. Plenty of bacon on the sandwiches the food looks good the food taste good everything came hot. Is it the first place on doordash you're actually got my order right. Thank you Granville Pub

We live next block over to the Granville Pub, and we have ordered a few times since we prefer to get food at local places when we can. Every time we've got food here, it's been amazing. So far I've had no negative interactions with their food or their employees, and the people who work there are always so nice when we come in! We haven't had the chance to sit and stay for a while since COVID is a thing, but I can't wait to spend an evening there when the pandemic has passed!
PS... get the loaded fries. They are so worth it.

Oh my God this food was delicious. Not even the best burger I've ever had, just don't tell smashburger I said that lol. Chicken tenders we're also very good and cooked perfectly

Found this place through door dash and let me tell you ...the food is AMAZING ...had it two nights in a row and will be getting it again soon I’m sure ...my burger was perfect the Mac and cheese awesome ...fried cheesecake the best ...give this place a try you won’t be sorry

I love this place! This was one of the first places I went to when I moved to Louisville back in 2015. It's definitely a hole in the wall, but it's worth the time to check out. Affordable food and beer that's quite delicious. Additionally, the staff is real down to earth and friendly. I've been here to watch UofL games, group gatherings, and after work happy hour with friends-- it's a great place for any social time like that. Def check it out if you're by campus and want a good, chill bar to chill

The first thing that I notice was an awesome environment! I felt like I was in down town Boston in one of the Pubs that I used to go. Then I notice the service from the waiter... huge smile and very courteous she ask me what can she serve me! I told her that I was new in town and I don’t know what’s in the menu. She said everything is good here!! With a big smile. Let me tell you!!! She was right!! Everything is delicious!! I order a Cajun chicken sandwich and a house burger... wow!! What a flavor!! I went back 3 days on the road.

If you want to feel like people know you for a very long time... and you feel that comfortable like if you were home!! This is the place to eat! To hang out with good friends and watch a game and have a couple of drinks!

Great burger. Nothing fancy. Just a big fat juicy burger.

The mac-n-cheese is surprisingly excellent.

Pizza is not their featured item, but it is probably the best pizza you'll find, at a non-pizza place.

Nice pours and cheap liquor. A nice tap selection too.

Great neighborhood joint, that's worth driving across town for.
